Process:
The drawings were the first thing that I had did before the photographs. The first thing I thought of what to do was look around my surroundings of what objects caught my attention. Then when I encountered those objects I started laying them out in front of me and began sketching them out on my sketch book of white drawing paper. While I was drawing I made sure that I could get much detail as possible as well as having enough shading as well to make the object more realistic and so the drawing can stand out. Then lastly, for my photography I started doing the same things as the drawings by piking out what specific objects stood out but using objects that to me looked elegant. But when taking the pictures I decided to use a certain amount of lighting in each to make the object look nicely arranged and stood out. After the lighting I had came to an idea of also changing the filters of my phone camera to capture the different colors that appeared upon the object as well as the different ways of seeing the object itself.

When I first tried scanning my drawings I saw that all of them looked a little faded or a bit too light to scan nicely and dark enough to see the picture. So I then decided to upload the photos on photo shop to make the brightness of the picture go down so that the drawing is dark enough to see especially the contrast between the shading and the marks as well so that it can emphasize the picture more.

ACT questions
Drawings:
1.) In my drawings I specifically didn't have an artist inspiration but the cause effect relationship between me and drawing them would be that I just drew hand-made or nature made objects that caught my intention. As well as drawing the objects from my point of view, by drawing the little details that stood out too. 2.) The topic would be man made objects or nature made objects. Which is very important because those are the main aspects of drawing still-life. Just getting the main focus of what your overall outcome will turn out, especially when it has to deal with shading as well so that it shows the views from the specific object as well as bringing out to viewing it the right way. 3.)Some generalizations and conclusions that I discovered from making still life as well as what it is specifically is that its just an arrangement of objects. Then the artist would have to draw it from how they see it exactly so that they can show the viewers how they see it from their view. A conclusion that can be made is that there's no bad in adding as much detail as you can into the drawings to make them look real enough for the viewers overall. 4.) The main idea for the pieces was what objects or things that caught my attention from my surroundings. As well as what things I can practice on drawing to improve my drawing skills. Improving skills is what art is about as well as taking risks of what t to overcome from your work. 5.) Some conclusions that I over came were that still life deals with visual, as well as improving skills. It's a matter of viewpoints and increasing details into drawings or even painting to make things look realistic. |

1.) Some cause-effect relationships between my inspiration and my work is that Irving Penn had an extraordinary capacity of work like as I do with photographing still-life myself. His work dealt with imagination on how to arrange his objects which I thought was an important aspect to have as well. 2.) The overall approach that the author has regarding the topic of my research was based on what specific things he encountered from doing still-life in many ways of arrangements and imagination, especially with improving his styles of work. 3.) Some generalizations that I encountered from this research is that Penn himself identified was the characteristic of lighting. So having different ideas or not arranging the items but the lighting as well. 4.) My theme was around the lighting and as well as the different filters that can be arranged while taking photos because as well as Penn, lighting was a theme for himself as well but instead of filters he would arrange the background instead of the picture itself. 5.) Some conclusions that I can encounter would be that still-life isn't just based on taking random pictures, it's based on the arrangement of the object itself as well as the lighting of the piece also.
